Lack of humility and abundance of intelligence

I once had a job that I enjoyed doing, yet dreaded it.

It turns out, one of the colleagues would often make the entire team a bitter experience. Rudeness and being mean was their second nature, unfortunately. I remember calling my sister several times venting about just this. Poor she 🙂

It was sad because the boss wouldn’t realise it because they would still get the work done.

I realised this “feeling” of “tinge in my stomach” long time after I moved out of that job. However, it made one thing super clear:

It is not getting the job done that makes you successful. It is about how human you are with people, who do not have the “authority” to affect your ratings.

When we confuse lack of humility with abundance of intelligence, it looks like we confuse paneer with butter.
They apparently look the same, but one gives you protein, and the other, cholesterol.
