Steve Jobs and opinions

Steve Jobs was a college dropout.

Yet, he went on to create the most valuable company in the world.

Many many years later, when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Steve made an agreement with God, that ā€œI want to see Reed (his son) graduate.ā€

And he did.

It turns out that the anomalies like Steve know too that they are anomalies. What worked for them might not work for everyone else.

Leave aside everyone else, they make sure their kids do not follow their weird footsteps.

However, most people who consider dropping out from college, think of Steve Jobs as a great example.

Without knowing the entire story.

What we think and hammer into our minds is rarely the truth.

The truth is often composed of hard work, relentlessness and staying true to who you are; and rarely by the baseless opinions of opinion-makers.

This post is not just about Steve Jobs and dropping out of college.
