As much as it hurts you to think of yourself without them, you’d be fine.
Your anxious self might be nudging you to be with them again or figure out a way to do so, but you always have had an answer in your heart. And it has been unchanged, no matter how much you changed yourself.
Also, because you’d be fine does not mean you didn’t love them.
At the same time, you don’t need to hurt yourself to prove your love to them. Or yourself.
Your past self loved, your present self lets go.
