In the early 2012, I cleared the second stage of CA exams, which was called IPCC back then.
I cleared that exam after failing in the same exam twice.
So when I did clear the exam, I made a vow to myself that I would clear CA Final exams in the very first attempt with very good marks. Lo and behold, that is what happened.
It turns out, when I had made that decision back in 2012, I was very clear that studies only won’t make anyone excel in exams. What you also need is a planned stiudy schedule, reading good self-help books (not anxiety inducing novels) and exercise and sleep as essential parts of the day.
From early 2012 till date (we are almost at the end of 2025 now) I have been rigorous in following my schedule. So much so, that when people have to roast me, they make jokes about processes and time-table 🙂
Here is the back story though: Despite planning religiously and hardly every allowing for external interruption, there have never been two same days or two same weeks. Every week comes with its lessons, its inevitable disruptions and better ways of doing the same things the next time.
So the next time an influencer tells you their routine online, please know that no one ever has such fixed days. Of course planning is important and everyone must (I am married to planning) but beyond that, take a deep breath. Says someone who is an official time table.
