I am purchasing bananas from the vendor next to my home.
He is the same vendor I purchase it from, each time.
“Don’t your bananas wear out quickly during summers?” I was concerned. I also asked if the weather impacted his business.
He replied as a matter of factly, “No, these are good quality bananas. I am standing in sun all day. Yet, the bananas are perfect.”
Then he added something which I was grateful to hear:
“If you come here early morning, you will see crates of big bananas lined up here. Vendors take them from me and go sell it out into the market.”
The pace at which my quick-commerce bananas were turning foul, his response literally lit me up.
It made me think:
Sometimes, you don’t have to go and lead a board room in your business attire.
Having working knowledge of the very own business you do, and being a master at it is more than enough. Just like the banana vendor.
Fun fact: Even board room CEOs need bananas 🙂 So never think your work isn’t valuable enough :))
