Two feet away

A man met with an accident, and clung to a branch.

Shouted to God, help me!

God asked, “Would you trust me?”

Of course!

God asked once again. He responded the same.

Once again.

“So leave the branch!”

He didn’t.

And died.

The next morning, the villagers saw a corpse hanging to the branch, while the ground was two feet away.

This is what is the matter with trust. When we go ahead with trusting God, we need to surrender. But if we surrender to God on a conditional basis, it helps to remember that God is the most jealous lover. He wants you to love only Him and no one else. If you do, there is nothing that can stop you!
