Trauma isn’t always death of a loved one, a separation, a heartbreak or a job loss.
Trauma sometimes happens in tiny insignificant moments of:
- Not smiling at a loved one when all they needed from you was exactly that
- Having a tonality of taunt as your default behaviour
- Talking only about yourself
- Wanting to learn but not wanting to listen (Translated: Wanting to vent)
- Doing everything you want to do to make the other person happy and still being unhappy. Fun fact: You were unhappy because the other person only wanted you to be happy.
- Telling someone they are important and then not caring to listen 🙁
Trauma isn’t always an event. It is sometimes lack of empathy, compounded.
