Hold and behold

An English knowledge that would be useful: When one word is a part of another word, it does not mean they are the same.

Take hold and behold.

Hold means “grasping something.”
Behold means “looking at something.”

Not at all same.

We will see what the future holds: Correct.
We will see what the future beholds: Nope bro!!

Sometimes, simplicity does the trick.
