You can’t be unkind just because you lack time. Or for any other reason.
Whether it is responding to someone’s message, email or catching up with someone — know that you are doing it out of choice. Then what stops you from being kind to the person on the other end, especially if they are being kind?
You may say a polite no, but it is almost always beyond comprehension for me, that people choose to be unkind in their conversations just because “they don’t have time.”
No one has time, my friend. But kindness is a perfume we wear, whose fragrance keeps people in awe for a long time, sometimes for years.
