The first-ever World Meditation Day

Today is the first ever World Meditation Day, as recognised by none other than the UN.

Over the years, anyone I have met who meditates consistently has a common ritual: they make time for meditation. No matter what.

The reason is something almost no one speaks out loud, but almost everyone feels within: Meditation has changed their life.

From something that was once a thing to try when you went on your Rishikesh vacation to something that is a ritual you live by that changes you life one day at a time, it is time every single one of us incorporates meditation into our lifestyles.

Even if you are super-busy.
Especially if you are super-busy.

Reminds me of the line from Gandhi, “I have so much to accomplish today that I must meditate for two hours instead of one.”

Going forward, every day of the winter solstice, i.e. 21st December, will be observed as the International World Meditation Day.

Well, if the United Nations and freedom fighters advocate for something, it’s time we have it in our routines too!

Here’s to a more peaceful world. 🌎
Which always begins with a tranquil mind. 🧘‍♀️
