Ghostwriting as a profession β€” my two cents

I cook all my meals by myself.

I also bake cakes and prepare laddoos (rarely) should need be.

All by choice. Not out of lack of resources. πŸ˜‚

However, a lot of people when they need a cake, they order it.

Sitting in their cafeteria, they don’t say “this is the cake of <insert baker’s name>, being used by me.”

They say, “it’s my cake”.

Which is exactly what ghostwriting is: Outsourcing.

But with the taste, tonality and thoughts of the one outsourcing.

Thousands of years ago, when Maharishi Ved Vyas wanted to write an epic Mahabharata, he asked Ganesha to write it. Not just write it, but write it while providing his own understanding.

Does that mean that the conversation of Arjuna and God didn’t exist or was narrated falsely to you?

No, right?

A LOT of people draw their life inspiration from the Gita episode of Mahabharata.

Or will they now never touch the epic, because they did not know the fact of outsourcing made to Ganesha?

About me “declaring” my ghostwriting work:

I understand you might not have visited my profile. My LinkedIn profile, however, has all my work for months, yearsβ€”without any violation of NDA.

What baffles me is people haven’t read the “Acknowledgements” section of “Do Epic Shit” and “Get Epic Shit Done”β€”books that are perhaps lying in their very bookshelves.

No one’s emotions as a reader were played with, my friend.

Every author, every founder, every builder of a product who puts out any product into the world AND succeeds at it, is because they invariably think of their audience first, before their own benefit.

Because I draw and live on inspirations from our spiritual classes, here is something I want to conclude with:

“Judging someone in a snap is a huge form of spreading suffering in the world.”

May your existence never do that to anyone, my friend.

Not because they will be hurt. Nope πŸ™‚

Because the first people who would be affected by your very attitude of judgement is your family and friends. The last thing you’d want.

Now, may we all please move on?

Thank you 😊 πŸ™
