The easy route is rarely the route that you are looking for.
Our body, mind, soul, every sinew and every cell of our being is stitched to make us feel adventurous and excited. Fortunately, the chemical release in the brain comes from pursuing the difficult path of:
- doing the workout when you have fallen madly in love with your sleep
- working on that project when you have loads of social media notifications to attend
- being kind to a colleague / family member who have made a big mistake
No one ever said it was going to be easy.
The breaking news is: it isn’t going to be either, in the easy route because your soul will no longer feel alive.
Why not pursue the difficult dream and make happiness and aliveness and awesomeness and joy the easy byproducts?
