Strong enough

Being strong is touted as a victor, game changer.

It definitely is.

Only if we knew the efforts that went into becoming strong: to acknowledge our weaknesses, to reach out to family members and closest friends to talk about what shame we are going through, and specifically important how we are journeying through the healing process.

Amidst all those dark nights of self-doubt, feeling scared, blood rushing through veins to do anything other than the courageous project you have wanted to do, emerges the bold and confident and courageous and cool and strong (also read empathetic and understanding and compassionate and cheerleader) man or woman.

If only, not only we understood and accepted the process, also honoured it.
