Some things only come with time

I read a news clipping stating the movie theatres make money only when it’s the OG Salman or SRK movie. The stock prices as well as the market valuation of some movie businesses, otherwise, is tanking.

This somehow makes me think of two things:

  • Staying in the game longer enough than anyone thinks you have a right to. (No actor plays the lead role like SRK and Salman do at the age of 48!)
  • Figuring out what game works for you and play it well. (Which you figure out eventually.)

Almost all new actors have way more followers than SRK or Salman. But numbers on social are often a vanity metric, especially in a world where everything is visually attractive and followers don’t bring numbers (often).

For example – SRK doing a collaborative ad on his Instagram would cost 10X more than any younger actor with 3X of his followers.

Time is the game you all must play for. Staying relevant today will take care of itself.
