Success at work is sometimes miserable, especially if you are not happy in your life outside of work.
Here is why:
Having a good relationship with yourself is the fuel that will help every relationship, especially the ones that require your 100% attention, i.e., at work.
So, any time you want to skip your workout or not want to spend time with your family or skip that meditation session for an “important meeting”, remind yourself:
Your work is your life, but not 100% of it.
Maybe 50%.
In order to keep this 50% thriving, you need to nurture the remaining 50%.
While you cannot avoid all urgencies at work and some things require exigencies, but if it is becoming a norm instead of non-conventional, it is time to pause and reflect.
