A non-negotiable in business

One of my non-negotiable business rules is to offer to my customers and clients what I would love to have as a customer or a client.

This rule has made me lose money in the short term, but is one of the best decisions I have made.

For example:
– I haven’t signed up with influencer marketing agencies to collab with brands, because I am a minimalist, don’t remember the last time I shopped, and honestly shopping is quite energy draining to me.
(Fun fact: B’day next week. Haven’t shopped yet. Mom pushing daily!)

So even if I end up promoting a cute journal from a brand, at the end of the day I know I use a plain notebook and a pen for my own journalling.

Similarly, there are so many times I could fall ill/”kill” someone in my family/have an urgent assignment to not meet a work deadline (book writing is a huge process) but I wouldn’t like that as a client; so I show up even when I don’t feel like.

In the moment, it is easy to forget your principles and “justify” the wrong just because everyone else is doing it.

However, before anyone else is answerable to you and respects you, how you look at yourself is super important.

Wrong wins the battle.
Right wins the war. Which thankfully is never with yourself.
