Sometimes, I wish to be a kid again.
To be able to go to my parents when I am crying, they wipe off my tears, they tell me I’m going to be fine, and they do not judge me.
Sometimes, I wish to be a kid again.
No pressure of performance. No running around to make money. No keeping a brave face in front of my parents when I am struggling bad.
Sometimes, I wish to be a kid again.
No masks of trying to impress the world “what I should be”. Just being what I am.
Sometimes, I wish to be a kid again.
We could forget what we were supposed to be, and be what we are.
Sometimes, I wish to be a kid again.
But then I realise, remembering your inner kid as an adult is how you honour the kid you once were.
