When I was starting out writing as a profession in 2018, I would make sheer mistakes, such as:
- Writing pro bono samples
- Quoting my prices only to be rejected
- Agreeing to work at a lower price
I am so glad I still got rejected, because over time I used that as a fuel to build my self-worth, not compromise on pricing.
In life, anytime someone says “I will find someone else” know that they are not in a place to accept you for what your worth is. At these times, moving on isn’t an option. It is a necessity.
