- Calling an acquaintance without texting. (Colleagues, friends, family is fine. A random person on your phone list is not, baby.)
- Labelling people “you always get angry.” No they don’t. Just because you notice an emotion creep up in someone repeatedly, it doesn’t have to become their identity.
- Asking someone to immediately give you time because they are close to you. Unless you are going through something (in which they would happily do it), I think it is always wise to schedule time. Yes, including your loved ones.
- Shouting because what you had expected did not turn out to be so.
- Judging people because of their smoking or drinking or any other toxic habit. You can love people without copying their habits.
- Telling your loved ones you’d be there for them and still not being there. Repeatedly.
- Taking advantage of someone’s goodness.
