Things that don’t seem rude but are rude

  1. Calling an acquaintance without texting. (Colleagues, friends, family is fine. A random person on your phone list is not, baby.)
  2. Labelling people “you always get angry.” No they don’t. Just because you notice an emotion creep up in someone repeatedly, it doesn’t have to become their identity.
  3. Asking someone to immediately give you time because they are close to you. Unless you are going through something (in which they would happily do it), I think it is always wise to schedule time. Yes, including your loved ones.
  4. Shouting because what you had expected did not turn out to be so.
  5. Judging people because of their smoking or drinking or any other toxic habit. You can love people without copying their habits.
  6. Telling your loved ones you’d be there for them and still not being there. Repeatedly.
  7. Taking advantage of someone’s goodness.
