Own the day. The Day.

It’s so difficult to find the time to dig out the time to do most important things.

We think that we don’t have the time we need to schedule things and even if we try and schedule thinks we are not able to get the change you want to have.

Here’s a counterintuitive approach: just try to do five things every single day that you want to win the day.

You don’t have to who at the fag end of the day, they may be completed by 12 Noon or 3 PM.

For those things you want to know that when you have done those things you have won the day.

For example if you have a hard time working out put it out on your list: workout. If you have a hard time finishing up on that important project write it out on the list ProjectX and so on.

Do not keep more than five items not even six not even 7, not 10, not 20.

Because it’s not possible to accomplish 25 items a day, just focus on your five things by 12 noon by 11 o’clock in the morning by 3 PM at 5 PM whatever time feels right with you and live by that.

Your time your life would become a journey, a wonderful journey that you will be proud of and you’ll be super proud of it and super proud of the fact that you made the right decision.

Will you?

God would listen to you, if you would listen to Him.

Happiness would come to you, if you decided to be happy.

Peace would be natural, if we never made space for anger.

We know what we want. We just need to decide.

To hear

The sound of people singing in the home next to mine.

Crackling of leaves in my own home.

Sound of one vehicle passing by.

Modi Ji’s speech in the neighbourhood.

Dogs barking yards away.

Be grateful for what you can hear when there is no veil to hide it. The veil will come soon.

Productivity Tips

Some productivity tips, not season specific or specific for place you’re working from.

Work every time, you just need to decide.

1. Don’t receive a call on the first time, unless it’s scheduled. It turns out, when you will call them back an hour or two later, the “important” work would’ve been resolved. So would be your time be saved.

2. Take a nap post lunch, do NOT engage in phone after lunch. Will make you happier, and of course, more productive.

3. One minute, every hour – take a break. Move, or sit still. However, just a break.

4. Have your goals for tomorrow, tonight itself. Your mornings will be saved from internet in the morning.

5. After having the goals for tonight, tell everything to God. Everything – good or bad, meetings, aha moments, etc., during the day – give it to Him. Surrender all good as a gratitude to Him, surrender all that is not good, to him to handle. You will be mesmerized at how your life starts falling in place.

That’s it folks! I could write a ten more; however doing less makes chances of execution better.

I dream of a world

I dream of a world, where…

• where we could tell each other that we need help

• where asking for help would be considered a sign of strength and not of powerlessness

• where failing in life did not mean we are a failure

• where when we said no, we did it respectfully

• where we appreciated our loved ones for their journey even if they are not doing what we wished them to do

• where we learnt how to tolerate our angst against people whose sole and soul role is to make us stronger, and to show us that our time is way to important to try to change them

• where we just knew that we are loved

• where we can just be, instead of trying to be what we do not even wish to see.

Unexpected

You wake up in the morning and are filled with utter positivity.

You get out of your home and receive an unexpected news.

A news that tells you that you are not required.

You didn’t expect it. However it did happen.

You don’t know what to do now.

Then what to do? How to proceed? How to make the next right move?

Here’s how: take some time. Take the time to be calm. Take the time to relax. Take the time to think.

And then, take the step that you would proudly be able to tell God.

What do you get affected by?

The things that affect you, are the things that control you.

The things that control you, are the things that decide your course of action.

The things that decide your course of action, should be something that needs approval from your happiness.

Now, think and decide: what’s something that’s affecting you right now?

Are you happy with it?

If not, why are you allowing it to affect it?

The problem

If you wanna know what’s your problem, just try spending some time with yourself in solitude. That’s the real game.

All your weaknesses will come to the surface.

All your problems will come out with a revelation: that the source of them is common.

And when the source of that is common, the solution has to one.

What is that one, has to be decided and implemented by the one reading this right now.

Implement. Execute.

The subtle art of doing stuff…

The stuff that you do, is going to be liked, and even not liked.

And when not liked, does this piss you off?

In a world that admires fake appreciation even though it does not come from the heart, a better way out could be: to be happy no matter what.

Yesterday I came across a person who is simply happy all the time. Just happy, laughing, happily laughing and making everyone laugh. And guess what, that is not made up. It’s real and just comes across as a natural emotion.

Bonus points for guessing: it’s a natural emotion for all of us. Like all muscles, gets stronger with use.

Where are you coming from?

Roots and respect go hand in hand.

When you know where you are coming from and who is backing you up, you will never forget your values.

For example, my father has never touched alcohol in his life. Because of that, I have never had the craving to do so. More so, it’s always been a pride in saying where I am coming from.

College graduates from prestigious colleges take pride in saying where did they come from.

Kids of celebrities know how to live like a celebrity.

Employees working at Apple take pride in working there.

When we know where we are coming from, we take pride in never abandoning our values.

Take a look at the values you have abandoned.

Do they feel home? If they don’t, what’s the right thing to go home?

Patience

While you are executing and being patient, it seems irrationally illogical.

When that patience pays off, you find all that optimistically logical.

Here’s the catch: when you have finally made that win, as you will, definitely: just remember to get back in action to have more low points.

This is not crazy, this is a fact: that you may want more success, yet the juice feels tasty when you have gone through the bitterness and knock-downs.

Giving up art

Have you ever felt like giving up on your art because it’s not doing well?

If yes, you were never in love with it in the first place, it was simply a time pass.

Hold on to true love with your art my friend, it will stay with you when all human beings have left.

Do we know that we don’t know?

Five seconds.

Just five seconds.

Just five seconds before he would have known that it’s going to be over.

What would have crossed Kobe Bryant’s mind when that did happen?

Perhaps a feeling of satisfaction and happiness for living a life he was proud of.

Perhaps the fact that he should have said “I love you” more often to people who mattered the most.

Perhaps the tragedy to see his daughter die along with him.

Perhaps none of these.

Whatever that may be, none of us know the time till when we are here.

Neither the one with the most money, nor the one who knows the most influential people.

All of us are cut from the same cloth of anonymity.

That’s what makes this life worth understanding and living.

Understanding and living.

Not postponing. No more “my time will come”, rather, my time is already here.

Right now. Otherwise, literally, never.

The big set of problems

The big set of problems.

Peopl asking a ton of questions.

People seeking for help.

People not understanding you.

To focus on your goals.

To create and be.

The list is endless.

Well, this is what you were put here on this plant earth: to figure out this thing called “life” and be proud that you did.

Files

We make resolutions and they keep on adding up.

And then we make further resolutions.

The files keep getting bigger.

What if, we do something different: like execution? What if, this time it really looks different? What if…

Wait…

What will you do NOW? After this scrolling and swiping? Now?

How to have acute clarity

Clarity, is clearly one of the biggest jewels of life.

When you have clarity, you don’t give a damn about what others think, because you are well on your own path, and that’s what matters.

However, what do you do when you don’t know what’s there in your path?

More that that, how do you have that confidence to march there freely?

Here’s a way I could help you out.

They got “lucky”

That’s true, someone else did get lucky.

That’s true, they got “lucky” because they’ve done some great deeds in the past.

Since you can’t change their past and your past, the way forward is to make your “future-past” better.

In the future, your past is going to be what’s your present in the moment.

What you do today, will be your past tomorrow.

What are you going to do today, create a new “today” or mourn over what’s not working?

Today.

Success and happiness

My cousin forwarded a video about success and happiness, from a very well known person.

There was this closing line about it, that particularly stuck my head (greatly designed in that way, though 😊). It said:

“You can be successful doing what others want you to do, you can be happy only when you do what you want to do.”

The second part is cool, happiness does multiply manifold when you are in love with your work.

Although, how can there be success when there is no happiness?

There can be cash and credibility and fame and fortune with that, yet how can that ever equate with success if you go home every night feeling shattered from within?

That’s NOT success.

Here’s the solution instead:

1. Change your definition of success as the ability to do what you want to do – which pretty much makes it synonymous with happiness.

2. While you are still trying to make “happiness” happen for you, start digging small things in your current job that you like. It could be as little as having a clean desk or as big as having the opportunity to stay in luxury hotels.

The goal, is to live and swim and sink in happiness. Not only when you have it, also in the chase.

Is this the right treatment?

The way you treat yourself…

The way you check phone when you should be sitting silent…

The way you allow yourself to be replaceable…

The way there are people on social media deciding your life…

The way you allow someone else to be an influencer and not your own self…

…is this the right way you should be treating yourself?

Would you treat your most loved one like that and take pride in that?
