A note on trust

Trust yourself, as much as you trust others.

Trust yourself more often.

Trust others more often.

Trust the pain, because it solely is responsible for making you enjoy the joy of life.

Trust your hard work, it never goes to vain.

Trust your parents, even when you don’t want to.

Trust your friends, they are there for you – anytime and any place.

Trust your work, coz it will go out into the world and do more good.

More than anything else, trust yourself. You have handled worse in the past. This too, shall pass.

It’s okay when it’s not okay

It’s okay to have unanswered emails.

It’s okay to miss a Zoom meeting on purpose.

It’s okay to not follow a schedule once a blue moon.

It’s okay to disagree with your loved ones.

It’s okay to buy and have things in way less than what you earn.

It’s okay, to be okay when it’s not okay. Okay?

The meaning of mistakes

One of the most fascinating things about life is mistakes.

More interesting than mistakes, is about studying people who make mistakes.

There are three kinds of people:

1. Who realise they have made a mistake, admit it, and try not to make the same mistake twice.

They are the top 1% of the world. Even if they are not famous, they are indispensable in whatever they do.

2. Who realise they have made a mistake, and don’t admit it.

The three-letter word comes in. However, there is still hope that they will learn from their mistakes, even silently.

3. Who do not realise they have made a mistake.

They are the people in deepest pain, and aren’t aware of it.

As much as we’d hate admitting it, we all are surrounded by someone in each category, the third one being the most vulnerable ones.

Small tips:

a. Bless them.

b. Focus on the good in your life versus the opposite in their life.

c. Chill man!

Everyone is fighting a silent battle we aren’t aware of.

The joy of life, is learning to deal with these people in an effortless manner, that you be responsible for not allowing anyone to take your happiness away.

Effortlessly.

What is the cost of your dreams?

What is the cost of your dreams?

Everything.

You will be misunderstood. You will be ridiculed. You will be criticised.

All of this will happen at the times you need the most support.
All of this will happen when you least expect it.
All this will happen when you need a clean mind to execute on your dreams.

Despite this, please continue!

Despite this, please move ahead!

Because if you don’t, those people have already won. And you know what, those people are not intending anything bad against you, they just don’t know better.

And if you’ll follow them, won’t that be the same treatment to yourself?

The goal of all problems is just one:
To get you closer to your goals and your Best Self.

Use your problems to get better. And show the world yourself about how strong you are.

Five simple steps

1. Five simple steps to focus in life.

2. Three strategies to be more productive.

3. How to grow your business.

4. What to do when you feel confused?

5. How to get fit and lean.

We all know the answers to these questions. Why don’t we execute them still?

Because deep down we still believe we don’t deserve the goodness that will follow. Our current state of mind has made us believe we are doomed for this little life. So, we make efforts and those efforts are never followed by self belief and trust in our own selves.

You have it all within you. The question is: What are you doing in order to remove the extra stone from the beautiful sculpture of your life?

Why should you hang around the right people?

1. They give us the confidence that we, too, could be them.

2. We understand how things work versus how we have been doing them.

3. We learn to measure things, instead of beating around the bush.

4. Life is energy. Not the words or broken promises.

5. We are always, always the product of five people we spend our time with.

The best thing I saw on Internet today

So this was a forwarded joke that I read on Internet today:

Someone met his ex-girlfriend after 10 years. Him: Ms or Mrs? Her: Dr.

Rising up to our own expectations and living by them is the best 10 year challenge.

Not to show them.

To show ourselves. That the best thing in life was their exit.

Best life advice (no one will ever give you)

When you’re not listening to your heart, things will fall apart.

When you do things that you don’t want to, things will still fall apart.

When you sell your soul, there would be nothing left.

Living life on your terms is difficult – this is the thought process fit into our brain.

However, when you live life on the terms of the society by killing yourself daily, you are already dead.

The best life advice ever is: Life life on your own terms. Everything else will just fall for you. (Try falling for yourself, baby! )

Rants about truth

1. If you want to capture your truth to show it to others, you have already started living a lie.

2. A great life is where you are humble even when you don’t know how to.

3. Protecting your mindset is the best insurance.

4. Challenging yourself is the best safety.

5. And a little reminder: You are the product of five people you hang around with.

Your house’s on fire!

I came across a clip of an interview of Kobe, the legendary basketball player who passed away in an air crash earlier this year.

The interviewer was talking about a game, where both teams had to do a tie-breaker of final throws. Once Kobe’s turn came, he had a Achilles tendon, yet he got up, made his throw, and finished the game like a star.

When asked about the reason, Kobe said:

“Let’s say you have an Achilles, your hamstring is torn, your doctor tells you to have a bed rest, not move at all. So you’re at your home.

And suddenly, the house’s on fire. The kids are upstairs, the wife is somewhere else, and now you have to save them. You will instantly forget your hamstring, grab your kids, make sure your wife is safe, and get out of the house. You won’t remember the hamstring because your family is more important than the injury. So when the game is more important than the injury itself, you don’t feel that injury.”

When the game is more important than the injury itself, you don’t feel that injury.

What is the game that we are into?

Injury or the kind that Kobe was into?

About values of life

1. Staying by your values is hard. Yet devaluation of yourself is a murder.

2. You are who you are when no one is watching.

3. Doing nothing is important. And sometimes disastrous. It’s about figuring it out.

4. Helping without the ultimate intent is the real measure of kindness.

5. You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is a habit. – Aristotle

Life lessons – 18 Aug 2020

1. Maturity in life is accepting that someone in family that was closest to you dome day, isn’t close anymore.

2. When you don’t check an email / notification immediately because it isn’t important, you become more powerful. (PS: 95% aren’t important.)

3. Speak your truth even when your voice shakes. The only person going to be with you from start of life to end is you, and if you don’t speak your truth, do you really want to live with a liar all your life?

4. Parkinson’s Law is as real as gravity.

5. Focus. Focus. Focus is the ultimate asset.

MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni announced his retirement today.

The sad pic of that semi-final match in WC 2019.

Sad we live in a society that makes a gem retire because he couldn’t get us to the Finals of the World Cup.

PS: How could we forget it was a team of 11 players on the field?

How could we forget we trusted him so much that we depended only on him?

I have never been a cricket fan. Never watch matches.

However, the next time someone doesn’t get the score you think they should get, don’t treat them like as a society we treated Dhoni.

You will be loved forever MS! For all the things you didn’t say 💖
